About Us

The Reclaim Cooperative is democratically operated by members who create the products and profits are shared based on hours contributed.

We are committed to the innovative creation and distribution of sustainable, handcrafted products made from reclaimed byproducts, like fish skin, promoting environmental stewardship and supporting local economies.

We strive to be a scalable and sustainable model, empowering communities to transform sidestreams of animal and natural resource industries into marketable products. Our mission includes creating meaningful career paths where worker-members not only receive employment, but shared ownership. We are dedicated to fostering innovation and collaboration, inviting creative minds to play a vital role in reclaiming and repurposing waste.

The Reclaim Cooperative was founded by Dalton Barton-Diaz and Nick Hazelton in 2025. They are pictured here.

Lingcod skins are sourced from Tre-Fin Foods in Ilwaco, WA; Local Ocean Seafoods in Newport, OR; or SeaBre’s Premium Seafood in Newport, OR. Oak bark sourced from Traditional Tanners in Ashland, OR. Natural conditioner made by Heritage Natural Finishes in Philomath, OR.

All leather and leather products are handcrafted, packaged, and shipped by members of The Reclaim Cooperative in Hoskins, Oregon (near Philomath).
